Selfie: Portrait: Similarities:  - They are both pictures of you - they both represent your personality in some way Differences:  - the selfie is less formal than the portrait - the portrait is taken by someone else - the selfie allows you to have more control of how you want it to look, while the portrait is made by the photographer - the selfie is how you want others to see, but the portrait is how the photographer sees you Selfie or Portrait? I like the portrait better because I think it represents my personality better than the selfie because it shows that I am shy and have trouble making eye contact with people when I first meet them. What is white balance? Balancing the light within a photograph Why is it important to set your white balance? It is important to set your white balance to help get the colors in the image to be as accurate as your eye sees that image. How to set a custom white balance: 1. First change the White Balance to "custom"  2. Then use manual mode and manual focus, take a well lit photo of something white that will fill up the entire picture 3. After that, go to the menu button and find custom white balance and then press "set photo"
